The official Day and time.
This Friday, November 18 from 7-9 at the church. Marcy Miller was able to get her instructor from the fun park to come and teach us for Free. She will start out with some basic songs for all of us who do not know how to zumba. It will be a blast and please spread the word. I cant get word out to everyone. Also if you would like to bring a fruit or veges for us to snack on afterwards please let me know and post it in the comments. You dont have to bring any food. Only if you'd like to. See you there. it will be fun.

powerwheels hunt.
hey neighbors, I am on a hunt for a powerwheels battery that I could borrow from someone (ANYONE) for just a short minute to test out a hand-me-down powerwheels thingy. I've got to test it out to see if it works before I go buy a new battery because WOW, those things are not cheap (of course I had no idea when I got this battery-not-included machine)! Does anyone have one? Or know anyone nearby who has one who would be willing to loan it for 5 minutes?
thanks all.
thanks all.

Highlighting Jan Brett!
This month's literacy celebrations will highlight Jan Brett and her books. Some of her book titles include, "The Hat", "The Mitten", "Gingerbread Baby" and many more. For a complete book list, go to http://janbrett.com/booklist.htm. Her complete website is http://www.janbrett.com/index.html.
Last Wednesday we had some cold weather fun as we read "The Hat" and discussed the weather changes and bundling up for the season. We wore fun, stylish and outright silly hats and made and decorated our own newspaper hats.
This Wednesday we will be featuring the book, "The Mitten" at my home at 9:30. We will talk about animals in winter, sort and match mittens, and string our own mittens. All are invited to attend. You may bring your own pair of mittens along if you would like for some added fun. Hope to see you! If you have any questions, give me a call.
Also, any who wish to host a literacy celebration, let me know. Thanks!

November girls night and Christmas couple party.
November Girls Night
I want to see how much interest there would be in a Zumba girls night. I was thinking Friday Nov 18 in the evening or Saturday the 19th in the morning. It might cost $2-5 . I have to find an instructor that would be willing to do it. I might even be able to get someone to do it for free. We would then have fruit and veges to share and migle for a little while. We would do it at the church.
First Annual Couple's Christmas Party exchange and Food Drive.
I would like to do a couple's party instead of everyone sending out treats to everyone every year. We would do this at the church. We could even use the nursery for the small kiddos. Every couple would bring one gift that is no more than $5 for an exchange. Also bring 2 can goods per couple to donate for sub for santa or the local food drive or such. The dates that I have in mind would be on Fridays. Please respond and let me know what day you would prefer and we will go with the majority vote. Dec 2 or Dec 9. Time would be at6 or 7pm.Maybe we could even have a movie for the kids to watch with popcorn or a $1 exchange for them or a baked good exchange? Please respond promptly so that we can get things sent out. Let everyone you know about it since it is not exclusive to just our neighborhood.
Thanks.
Rebecca
Also let me know if you would be interested in helping me organize and pass out flyers.
