Kindergarten 12-13 Update

Here is a quick update on Kindergarten for this year for those of you interested.  I've had several people ask, and this might be the fastest way to update you on the changes I know about.  Initially we thought we were getting a second full-time Kindergarten teacher at Park.  Because of some paperwork that our principal was unaware of how the district recorded information on, that was an error.  We will only be getting an additional half-time teacher.  That means there will be 3 sessions of Kindergarten at Park.  Belinda Burningham will teach 1 morning and 1 afternoon session.  The other teacher has not yet been hired (if you know of anyone looking for a half time certified teaching position for either K or an older grade, please tell them to apply to Cache County School District ASAP.  We are looking for both).  We don't know if the other Kindergarten session will be morning or afternoon.  It depends on the person hired.  Alyson Kirby will stay full time 1st grade.  The new teacher will work very closely with Belinda, so the experience with either teacher should be similar.  Hopefully that won't cause any of you stress, but I thought you'd like to know about the change.  There will also be another new teacher in 2nd grade replacing Ruth Larsen, who is retiring.  We are receiving a teacher from one of the south end schools who received a reduction in the number of allowed teachers.
