Hey Neighbors.... especially you guys that have kids starting first grade next year...you probably saw the flyer come home about the Dual Language Immersion Programs for First Graders starting this FALL, and I wanted to send a shout out saying that we are doing it! And we are hoping hoping hoping that maybe some other families in our neighborhood (or just in Richmond) might also be considering it, because getting to and from school will definitely present a challenge. We registered for the Mandarin Chinese program at North Park (North Logan) and also the Portuguese program at Sunrise (Smithfield). North Park is our first choice, and we got a call from the coordinator today saying we could be in either one and in fact they need more kids in the program to make it successful. If you haven't checked it out...it's a great opportunity. Kimball went to both of the parent meetings at the schools a few weeks ago and it is going to be awesome...just a little bit farther away. The last day to register is this THURSDAY the 28th so if you think you might be interested, jump on it! And please let me know if you have any questions (I may or may not be able to answer them!) or if you decide to do it!
