I will be hosting this week's literacy celebration in my home tomorrow, Tuesday, October 4th at 9:30. This month we will be highlighting the author/illustrator Eric Carle. The book I have selected is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".
Activities: we will go on a "nature walk" in the backyard gathering different leaves. We will find similarities and differences in size, shape and color. We will then make leaf rubbings. I will also have pompoms and other craft supplies for the children to create their own caterpillar to take home. We look forward to reading and exploring with you!

Darn!! I am still juggling things solo, so I will have to catch up next week. Sounds like a ton of fun!
